April Photo Walk

5 April 2020 @ 4:00 am - 6:30 am

April’s MPS photo walk is an evening event in the city.

‘Harbour Lights’ Photo Walk

Join Peter Sherlock when he leads a Macarthur Photographic Society Photo Walk around Darling Harbour.

Itinerary: The opportunities are,

• Start at Observatory Hill for a Sunset shoot. Accessible by Trains to Circular Quay.
• Sunset.
• Walk to Cockle Bay via Barangaroo (Bring your walking shoes).
• Reflections Workshop. Meet under Pyrmont Bridge on the City Side of Cockle Bay.
• Finish Workshop then make your own way home. Trains from Town Hall.

Meals: Dinner to be arrange separately by each member and can be either before the 6.00pm Start or after the Workshop at 8.30 – 8,45pm.

Transport: Parking in Sussex Street or Darling Harbour area or by trains at suggested locations above

Aim of the Workshop: We will be focusing on reflections in the water. The local building signs and window lighting reflect well in the inky water at night.
You will be shooting with high ISOs and quick shutter speeds, having a portable tripod would be advantageous.
Peter will help you identify reflected subjects and suggest ways to setup for your shot.

A great opportunity for beginners to get off Auto and shoot in Manual so research the Exposure Triangle. Peter urges any members who wants to learn how to use the manual setting on your camera to ask questions and experienced club members will help you with the answers.

Contact the Society Secretary for more information and to register your attendance.
