The Macarthur Photographic Society also organises photo walks and other club outings for members to gather together to take images at a range of locations which provides a great opportunity to ask questions and learn from other members while taking photos in the field.
The Photo Walks are held on a regular basis at locations around the Macarthur area and locations further a field such as Greater Sydney, Illawarra, Southern Tablelands or Blue Mountains. The walks can be an early start to capture to mornings soft light or in later afternoons golden light and occasionally a full day trip. Members are free to roam the area and capture there own take on the areas features, but will always be on hand to assist other photographers with any questions they may have to get the good shots. Before or after the walk the group will move onto a local cafe or eatery to socialise over well earned refreshments.
Other Club Outings have included weekends away or one to two week extended trips. Some previous adventures have included Mogo Zoo, outback NSW and Tasmania. On occasion some members have organised other day trips including Canberra, Tulip Festival and Joadja mining ghost town.
