The Macarthur Photographic Society also organises photo walks and other club outings for members to gather together to take images at a range of locations which provides a great opportunity to ask questions and learn from other members while taking photos in the field.
The Photo Walks are usually held on a Sunday morning once a month at locations that are a relatively short distance in or around the Macarthur area. The walks are generally at an early start to capture to mornings soft light and members are free to roam the area and capture there own take on the areas features. After this the group will move onto a local cafe or eatery to socialise over a late breakfast or morning tea.
Other Club Outings have included weekends away or one to two week extended trips. Some previous adventures have included Mogo Zoo, outback NSW and Tasmania. On occasion some members have organised other day trips including Canberra, Tulip Festival and Joadja mining ghost town.
