SUMMARY:April Photo Walk
DESCRIPTION:April’s MPS photo walk is an evening event in the city. \n‘Harbour Lights’ Photo Walk  \nJoin Peter Sherlock when he leads a Macarthur Photographic Society Photo Walk around Darling Harbour. \nItinerary: The opportunities are\, \n• Start at Observatory Hill for a Sunset shoot. Accessible by Trains to Circular Quay.\n• Sunset.\n• Walk to Cockle Bay via Barangaroo (Bring your walking shoes).\n• Reflections Workshop. Meet under Pyrmont Bridge on the City Side of Cockle Bay.\n• Finish Workshop then make your own way home. Trains from Town Hall. \nMeals: Dinner to be arrange separately by each member and can be either before the 6.00pm Start or after the Workshop at 8.30 – 8\,45pm. \nTransport: Parking in Sussex Street or Darling Harbour area or by trains at suggested locations above \nAim of the Workshop: We will be focusing on reflections in the water. The local building signs and window lighting reflect well in the inky water at night.\nYou will be shooting with high ISOs and quick shutter speeds\, having a portable tripod would be advantageous.\nPeter will help you identify reflected subjects and suggest ways to setup for your shot. \nA great opportunity for beginners to get off Auto and shoot in Manual so research the Exposure Triangle. Peter urges any members who wants to learn how to use the manual setting on your camera to ask questions and experienced club members will help you with the answers. \n  \nContact the Society Secretary for more information and to register your attendance.

DESCRIPTION:MACARTHUR PHOTOGRAPHIC SOCIETY\nProudly presents Adobe Ambassador MARK GALER\nMark will conduct a one day Lightroom and Photoshop CC Masterclass on Saturday 25th November 8:45am – 4:00pm at the Camden Civic Centre Undercroft Room.\nThis one day Masterclass/Seminar is for all budding photographers from Beginner to Advanced who would like to take their photography to the next level using Adobe’s Lightroom and Photoshop CC software packages. \nThis informative session will include essential tips and techniques to provide photographers with the skills to implement a smart imaging workflow from capture to output.\nLightroom is the master of the five-minute makeover. Mark will show you how to quickly and effortlessly transform your images into five-star folio photographs using global and localized Edits (including Graduated and Radial Filters\, Adjustment Brushes & Effects). During these post-production edits Mark will discuss the optimum camera settings to capture outstanding images in the genres of portraiture\, landscape wildlife/action and street photography. \nMark will also discuss why it is sometimes necessary to open images into Photoshop CC and he will demonstrate the optimum workflow to ensure the software works as a team.
