DESCRIPTION:COMPETITION MEETING \nEntry open to Macarthur Photographic Society Members. \nJudge: Alan Hitchell. \nCreative Theme: Long Exposure – Water \nVisitors welcome. \nThe 5 categories for our competition meetings are Colour Print\, Monochrome Print\, Colour Digital Projected\, Monochrome Digital Projected and Creative Theme (which is also digitally projected). Digital entries are to be emailed to the Competition Secretary by the Sunday night before the competition night. \nAlan says he loves judging but enjoys more the artistic skill\, the creation and the natural talent of photographers today.  He is  amazed by the variety of images and the standard he sees by photographers who are members of camera clubs in NSW. Alan has been very fortunate over the years as he has been invited to judge at Camera clubs\, State Exhibitions\, National Exhibitions and International Exhibitions within Australia as well a being invited to judge overseas \n

DESCRIPTION:PRESENTATION MEETING \nPresenter: Brian Bird \nSubject: Two subjects – Flash Photography HDR (High Dynamic Range) Photography. \n  \nBrian will cover two interesting areas of photography that can make a big difference to photography. Flash Photography can get a bit confusing about how to balance natural light with the artificial light of the flash but Brian will walk us through the key points. Cameras still can’t record the full dynamic range (light and dark tones) that the human eye can but Brian will let us know how we can get around this to create images with a larger range of tones. \n
